STLHSS Cooperative Laundry

Project Description
New Plant Build – 40M annual lbs, 100,000 sf, LDG designed a new, modern automated laundry plant for the COOP. The plant will achieve the stated production goals and utility consumption targets. All work is within consideration of plant certification for Hygienic Healthcare compliance.
LDG was engaged to lead the design of a new healthcare laundry facility (STLHSS) serving both BJC and SSM Health systems. LDG developed the business case that supported the decision to build a dedicated Cooperative laundry. The scope included full design services from initial concept through final construction, with a focus on delivering a high-efficiency, healthcare-compliant plant tailored to the operational needs of both organizations. In addition to the design, LDG supported equipment procurement, working closely with vendors to select the appropriate systems, coordinate all logistics, and incorporate vendor input into equipment placement, utility requirements, and installation planning. LDG also provided project coordination services throughout construction, serving as a key liaison between the owner group, contractors, and vendors.
